Chinese Evergreen Red is an excellent air purifying plant.

I am more commonly known as the Chinese Evergreen plant and according to Feng Shui (ancient Chinese geomancy) I am considered a lucky plant. I bring financial success for my lucky owners with my striking beauty, longevity, and ease of growth. I am native to the tropical jungles of Asia, yet I am one of the toughest, reliable, and easiest houseplants. I add pizzazz to life with my silver variegation marks all over my leaves. I look good in small pots on tabletop centerpieces and my colors work best for some holiday fun seasons. You can leave me hanging in a bathroom with a window. I won’t complain, as I love extra humidity.
Benefits:
My release of high oxygen content makes me an efficient air purifier. Furthermore, I help clean and purify the air by absorbing formalde. Benz. and other toxins.
The higher levels of oxygen can further assist in increasing productivity and well-being in your living and workspace.
Care and growth:
Light: bright but indirect sunlight works best for me. If I am under direct sunlight, I’ll turn brown. If I am left in the dark, I’ll start to look dull but still grow like a champ.
Humidity & Temperature: Even though I love high levels of humidity, I can grow at low levels as well. You can increase humidity for me by misting my leaves. I prefer slightly colder rooms but room temperature is fine as well.
Water: I like my soil moist during the spring and summertime, but I don’t like being soggy. Over-watering will cause my roots to rot and no one wants that, thus water me ever 5 to 7 days.
Feeding: A general houseplant feeding once a month will keep me healthy during spring and summer
Pests: I can get attacked by spider mites and mealybugs. Thus, a good organic pesticide, like neem oil, can take care of the usual pests.
Toxicity & Pet friendly: I am moderately toxic to pets and ingesting me will cause tummy irritation and possible vomiting
Additionally, if you notice that the tips of my leaves are drying out and turning brown, reduce my water amount and fertilizer.
