Ritver Synthetic Undercoat is an alkyd resin-based paint designed to create a firm, well-adhered intermediate layer for Ritver's enamel topcoats. It is suitable for both interior and exterior use on a variety of substrates, including plaster, masonry, woodwork, and metal. Key featuresFormulation: It is an alkyd-based paint, a type of synthetic resin that is durable and provides excellent adhesion.Pigmentation: The formula includes Titanium dioxide and other pigments that provide a low sheen and smooth finish. The undercoat is available in white and grey colors.Versatility: The product can be used on many surfaces and is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.Adhesion: It provides a strong, adhesive base that enhances the performance and finish of Ritver's enamel topcoats.Drying time: The time to achieve a hard dry state is approximately 16 hours at 30°C. It is ready for recoating after about 16 hours.Application: For best results, it is recommended to apply one or two coats with a spray or roller over a properly prepared surface.Environmental certifications: The product is certified by the Dubai Central Laboratory, adhering to the Al Sa'fat Dubai Green Building Evaluation System for low-emitting materials. Typical paint systemsBefore applying the Synthetic Undercoat, Ritver recommends preparing different types of surfaces with specific primers. For metal surfaces:Apply one coat of an appropriate anti-corrosive primer, such as Ritver Synthetic Red Oxide Primer or Ritver Synthetic Zinc Chromate Primer.Follow with one coat of Ritver Synthetic Undercoat.Finish with two coats of Ritver Synthetic Enamel. For wood surfaces:Treat the wood with Ritver Wood Preservative if necessary.Apply Ritver Synthetic Wood Primer.Apply one or two coats of Ritver Synthetic Undercoat.Finish with a Ritver Enamel Topcoat. Application notesSurface preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants before application.Dilution: For easier application by brush, roller, or spray, you can add 5–10% of Ritver QD Thinner, but be careful not to over-dilute.Environmental conditions: Avoid applying the undercoat in highly humid conditions or if the surface temperature is too close to the dew point.
